Teefa In Trouble has earned over Rs.14.26 crores in it’s first running week. Domestically, Nadeem Mandviwalla who is this film’s distributor earned Rs.9.86 crores and internationally he earned Rs.4.4 crores. That’s a huge amount, congratulations to Nadeem Mandviwalla.
According to “Teefa In Trouble’s” distributor Nadeem Mandviwalla who dragged the box office success to exceptional marketing “This is the [highest] and an unprecedented figure for Pakistani films on a non-holiday week”.
Ali Zafar’s movie is the best promoted Pakistani movie of the last 10 years with a great teaser, trailer, and songs. To create the perfect level of excitement in masses, the proper time has given to all movie’s promotional material including digital campaign has been excellent.
Additionally, Nadeem said “We can’t ignore the fact in this that it was Ali Zafar’s first production in Pakistan and generally everyone was waiting to see its outcome” also he believes that the protests public made against its main lead or film doesn’t affect it’s earning in any way.
Mandviwala further said, “The biggest challenge was to open the film in the most troubled week of the year, i.e., the election week”.
Teefa will clash with Saheb Bivi Or Gangster 3 and Fallout Mission Impossible in its upcoming week but Distributor is not worried about anything and said “[The new releases] is only going to complement the already successful film rather than compromise its business. They will give an added reason for people to come to the cinemas as they have the greater choice of films to see. That can’t become a deterrent [to Teefa]. It can only complement it.”
