In the melodious voices of Abu Muhammad Qawal, Natasha Baig and Fareed Ayaz, the most anticipated poetry of Allama Iqbal’s for which all the Pakistani’s have eagerly waited has been recorded finally and aired today in the first episode of coke studio season 11.
Among the powerful combination with Qawali, we considered it as the most strong and unique melody that is exploring the style of rock. It has always been the most impeccably contentious, and robust poetry that is creating all rounds on social media now.
The theme of this song is basically a complaint of Allama Iqbal to Allah when the situation of Muslims was miserable and they were facing wraths while Jawab-E-Shikwa is the reply to their complaint. The wording, method of conveying and music they present are hefty enough to give us goosebumps.
Allama Iqbal narrated Shikwa/Jawab-E-Shikwa lyrics very beautifully and revealed how the creator of everything answered to those complaints.
Coke studio season 11 has given the generation new spirit with Shikwa/Jawab E Shikwa and its team has proved that it is the hottest music platform of Pakistan. The shredded voice of Natasha Baig and chords progression has heated up the atmosphere.
The song is brilliantly directed and produced by Zohaib Kazi and Ali Hamza. Its lyrics is a beautiful combination of our poet’s different poems such as “Kyon Ziaan Kaar Banun” by Allama Iqbal, “Kis Say Mukhatib hai” by Amjad Ali and “Baaz Aa, Baaz Aa” once again by Allama Muhammad Iqbal, composed by Munshi Razi Uddin. Song’s other vocalists are Shahab Hussain, Wajiha Naqvi, and Mehr Qadir.
Babar Khanna (Dholak), Kami Paul (Drums), Kamran ‘Mannu’ Zafar (Bass), Omran ‘Momo’ Shafique (Guitars) and Rufus Shahzad (Keyboards) are all the houseband.
